We will miss you Davis Uncle

Davis uncle, May you walk in heaven with the angels and God’s arms are around you now I hope you got to meet appachen and Amma there.

When I heard this...I asked my mother...
Why does good people go away soon?
She said " when you enter a beautiful garden.which flower will you pick?"
The most beautiful one right ?
Well, God did the same.

Today I realized that God had a purpose to fulfill through Davis uncle. It was his prayers. He used to Pray for so many people and give them comfort. He did that for many. He did exactly what God wanted him to do on earth. Once it was done then God wanted to bring Davis uncle close to him. And he did.

Davis uncle,
For the joy you gave us,
No one will ever know.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
A part of us went with you
On Friday when God called you home.

You were all our role model. You made us laugh. You teased us. You were always the child of the house. Still remember we used to look forward to summer vacations at Chalissery. From taking us for bike rides, buying sip ups , attending vbs, drawing toothpaste moustache and so much more.  The middle child of the family. The 4th one out of the seven. The center of every program held in the family.. whether it is a wedding or kalyalam kulipickal.. no program was fun without you.. In fact it was you who used to arrange and plan everything. We will miss you but we know that you are with the lord and that you are watching all of us from above.

With love.
Your loving pallu doctor as you used to call me

For those who don't know him: This is my mother's brother (my uncle).Dr.Davis. He passed away on March 17th due to heart attack. He was all our cousin's favorite person! We will miss him dearly!!!!!!

Name: Bittu Jacob Owner of Baked for you by Bittu   1. Why did you pursue baking as career?   During my school days I enjoyed baking with my ‘Amma’. After getting married I used to bake occasionally at home and when we had guests at home.   On my son’s 5 th   birthday, I decided to make a fire truck shaped fondant cake. It was my very first attempt baking a fondant cake from scratch. When my family saw the cake they were quite impressed. To be honest the cake tasted lovely but it was not like those very neat fondant cakes . My family encouraged me to level up my skill by attending cake décor classes.       So I attended a class and learned the basics of cake decoration. Even at that point of time I never thought of taking this up professionally. That same year (2016) in the month of December my Appa asked me to bake 10 cakes to gift his friends. I was nervous about this but my Appa had full confidence in me. He convinced...

The dot, turban and the hijab.

It was another day at middle school. I still had not made any friends. Well , the truth is I really tried but no one  wanted to be my friend. It was lunch time and I was looking for a place to sit in the cafeteria. This is one thing I dread the most. Everyone had a group of friends of their own. The popular group sat in the corner. They were the cheerleaders, basketball players, kids with good looks (most of them wore makeup so cannot really tell if they were really good looking) and then there were the rich kids who only wore only branded clothes , shoes.  I certainly did not belong there because I didn’t have the skinny body type which those cheerleaders had. Forget sports. I cannot even do ten push-ups straight. I wore clothes which I got on sale from JCpenny and not Ar...
