8 tips to Create the perfect Work vs. Life Balance!

  1. Drawing firm boundaries to messages, media, calls which are low priority and those which can wait and instead focus on spending my energy with high-priority people and activities. Don't work on weekends. You need time for yourself and your family. Don't let your company take away that very 2 days as well. Note: Your family comes under high priority people! 2. Tracking social media usage. There are tons of great apps out there. If you want a list of apps I have used or still using. You can message me personally. I will send you the links! 3. Find out which is the most productive time of the day for you. For most people it is between 9 to 1. Try to finish your HIGH FOCUS work around this time. 4. Post lunch keep the work which you love doing ( Work which needs no motivation!) 5. If you need a nap. Take a POWER naps. These last for 20 min! 6.  Turn off all phone and work notifications because without you even realizing it .... it actually sends a wave of stress to your brain

YOU CAN'T HUSTLE IF YOU ARE BURNT OUT

One thing that made all the difference this week was a constant reminder to SLOW DOWN!      As  you work hard towards your goal of becoming a better version of yourself, make sure to  be honest to yourself about how much work can get done in a day.    Rest is just as important as working hard      Just like how the social media break helped me plan out and create contents. My brain needs to take a chill pill when things are overloaded. I had tons of things planned out for this week. Proverbs 16:9 says Man plans but God decides.       Every plan I had calculated hour by hour for this week came crashing down when my son became ill.    It was a normal cold, cough and fever but once a person in the family is unwell my brain cannot process anything else other than taking care of that person. I cannot concentrate on any daily chores like cooking as well. Seeing him dull and curled up under the blankets made me just sit by his side and watch him. I realised that it has been long since

How it all began.

The first time I thought of starting a YouTube Channel I literally got goosebumps. It send a wave of chills down my spine. Just the thought of standing in front of the camera and being watched made me sweat. All kinds of weird thoughts kept seeping into my head. These thoughts apparently have a term. It’s called "paralysis by analysis,". My overthinking ,over-analyzing and being overly self conscious of my appearance in front of the camera made me STOP thinking about my “YouTube Dream” all together. The thought of “What will people say” and “Will they like my video” made me throw this dream straight into the trash. But you know when you badly want to do something you end up finding a way, right? But for me it was a ROAD BLOCK. I   didn’t find any way to get over this fear. All I did was PRAY about it. I submitted my fears to Jesus. I asked for help. Every. Single.Day. Along the way I recorded really short videos for Instagram. These were less than 60 seconds videos on

Social Media Detox Journey Update

41 days without Instagram & Facebook The Beginning I wasn’t sure what to expect by quitting social media cold turkey. Initially I had withdrawal symptoms but it got easier by the day.   I have to be honest here. I did overuse WhatsApp some days but most days I did faithfully kept   opening only 3 to 5 times a day. I tracked my usage each and every day.   The Middle When you finish 10 days of this detox you are already in the safe zone. That urge to get back will decline and you will no longer want to see what Karen eat and what Jane wore. In fact you will find yourself   planning out in your head which accounts you will want to unfollow once you are back. I did watch YouTube a bit. In fact it was only one channel ‘Ali Abdaal’. I ended up watching most of at least  10 of his videos. He gives tips for beginners on YouTube. It was something I absolutely needed. I could relate to him more because he was also a doctor. I wasn't feeling overwhelmed anymore. Just scr
